The adventure began in 1980, when Michèle Hamelin and Donald Lanteigne decided to import 47 pure-bred angora goats from South Texas in a school bus.
From its precarious beginnings, the L’Angélaine angora goat ranch evolved into a successful mohair producing operation. The herd now totals around 75 heads, all pure-bred registered goats that live happily in a charming goat barn with all the amenities. Today, all members of the team share Donald and Michèle’s vision, which is to fully develop the ranch site into an agritouristic destination.

Guided tours are now offered to our visitors for a visit of the goat barn, the mohair information pavilion and, of course, the exclusively mohair garment boutique, unique in Canada.
